Visit to the National Space Centre
5th March 2011
On Saturday 5th March, a coach full of parents, children and leaders travelled to the National Space Centre in Leicester for a journey through the Universe.
The exhibition tells the story of mans discoveries and exploration of the Cosmos, with particular emphasis on the race to the moon. There were plenty of hands-on exhibits to keep the youngsters occupied and informed. We also watched a short film entitled "We are Astronomers" which explained the telescopes that enabled us to see deep into space.
The trip was made possible by a grant from the KCC Members Community Fund.
