GSL is invited to the Houses of Parliament

Our Group Scout Leader, Alan Warren, was invited by Gareth Johnson, the Dartford MP, to visit the Houses of Parliament with other Dartford Leaders to thank them for the time their Groups give to Dartford's young people.
Leaders met in the Jubilee Room for coffee before Gareth gave a guided tour including both the House of Commons and the House of Lords and the Queen's robing room. Gareth made the trip very informative as he himself said, he is a bit of an anorak, about the history of the Palace of Westminster. The highlight was a visit to the crypt which isn't open to members of the public. Cromwell had apparently stabled his horses there.
