Dartford District Cross Country (all sections)

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 1st Dartford Scout Group competed in the District Cross Country at Canada Heights. A wet start for the beaver race turned into a drier day for the other runners.
Beavers race brilliantly after a military style warm up! We had 13 beavers attending and are pleased to report an overall second place in the 7 year old race. The team, Kitty, Freddie, Frankie, James (from his sick bed), Sam, Edgar, Joe and Caitlin supporting a great second place run from Leon Buckley. Well done to all of you.
Despite a less number of Cubs turning up for the event, all efforts were valiant. In the two races the cubs took part in, Andrew (doing his personal best) coming in 8th place and Jasper coming in 10th. Everyone had a good time and did their best, fulfilling their Cub promise.
