Beavers attend District Fun with Food day

1st Dartford Beavers joined approx 80 other Beavers at the District Fun with Food day at Fleetdown Communty centre, the home of 14th Dartford Scout Group.
Beavers had bases around healthy eating, including sandwiches, fruit tasting and smoothies. Food skills were tested by making an edible raft, potatoe printing, cereal jewellery. There was also a tasting session with crisp flavours. They also went into the kitchen and cooked sweet potatoe cookies and chocolate cake.
The most intriguing base being 5th Dartford's meet a fish. Fish had been sliced into parts, head, bones etc for the beavers to touch and explore.
Great fun was had by all.
